The infamous Central Perk cafe from the TV series Friends is popping up in Syndey this October to celebrate the launch of all 236 episodes of the series on Australian streaming service Stan.
Sydney Residents and tourists will have the chance to enjoy the iconic televsion setting, whilst grabbing a photo on the famous orange couch, drinking a free cup of coffee and shooting the breeze just like Monica, Joey, Chandler, Phoebe and Ross.
Central Perk themed pop-up cafes have already appeared in other countries such as London, New York, and Beijing. Over 50,000 fans visited the New York pop-up last year, marking the television comedy’s 20-year anniversary. I wonder how many PR brainstorms this idea has popped up in over the years…
