Fruit of the Loom Sponsors Summer X Games: Breathable Moment
For the third and final year of the Summer X Games being held in Austin, Fruit of the Loom joined the list of sponsors as a returning sponsor for the extreme sports competition, held June 2-5.
Fruit of the Loom joined sponsors Toyota, Monster Energy, AT&T and Intel at the action sport competition and music festival.
Held at the Circuit of the Americas, in Elroy, just south of Austin, the event hosted more than 200 action sports athletes in events including skateboarding, BMX racing and rallycross racing. The event wasn’t only a sporting event, however. It has a festival element, with musical performances and interactive elements. Logic and G-Easy and All Time Low, blink-182 played concerts during the evenings, and six different villages hosted good, giveaways and games.
Ryan Decenzo win his first gold medal in Men’s Skateboarding Street this year, and the achievement was featured in Fruit of the Loom’s Breathable Moment. Decenzo, 29, is a professional skateboarder from Vancouver, British Columbia, and went pro at the beginning of 2010.
Instead of waiting for the rain to pass before his run, Decenzo went with the flow and embraced the weather that ended up working in his favor.
“This is a pinnacle moment in my life,” Decenzo said after he won the medal.
The bidding process is underway to find a new host city for the 2017 Summer X Games.
