To mark the UK debut on Universal Channel of US legal drama, How To Get Away With Murder, this hidden camera stunt tests how far people would go to help a close friend they believed to be in trouble after an apparent violent incident the night before.
The stunt (a lower-budget, less polished version of Carlsberg’s ‘friendship test’ we wrote about last year) has had pick-up on the Mail, Metro and Mirror, to name a few.
The YouTube video has been viewed more than 60,000 times.A survey released in conjunction with the video suggests that a third of people would be willing to do jail time to protect a loved one, with more than half admitting they would lie to the police for the same reason.
